Recommended walks
There are many interesting walks and fun treks that start from Diano Marina. We point out some that we have tried and that we recommend. For further information, please consult the dedicated sites or specialized guides.

**Diano Marina Promenade and Molo delle Tartarughe** - It is a beautiful walk next to the palm trees: magnificent for enjoying the sun and crystal clear sea of the splendid beach of Diano. The walk goes from one end of the beach to the other and is about 1.6 km long and can be immediately reached from the pedestrian center.
It connects to the west via a short climb to the promenade called Incompiuta, a magnificent pedestrian street that leads to Oneglia (currently closed for works).

**Incompiuta and Oneglia** - Magnificent walk that goes around Capo Berta by sea with spectacular views of rocks and coasts. About 2.5 km long on flat land, it is perfect for family walks or bike rides. Unfortunately it is currently closed for work.
At the end of the Incompiuta you can access the Berio gardens with beautiful towering palm trees, from which to enjoy the sunset. After about 1 km you can reach the Calata Cuneo di Oneglia, a splendid and typical place of Oneglia, full of excellent quality restaurants and in the evening a nightlife and chic meeting point. If you have time, also walk along the typical 'budello' of Imperia that connects here. Finally you can go shopping under the beautiful arcades of the center.
It is obviously possible to reach Oneglia by car, leaving it for example in the parking lot at the end of the Incompiuta or in others in the area.

**Walk through Porto Maurizio** - Beautiful walk in Porto Maurizio di Imperia with a visit to the Cathedral, the village of Parasio and the logge di Santa Chiara, a point with an extraordinary view, and finally along the Passeggiata degli Innamorati. This is an interesting tourist tour of about 3 km of asphalt road, although, for short stretches, steep.
We recommend parking near the Marina grandi yacht and then climbing through small streets and steps towards the city center. Once you reach the center, you need to follow the signs for the Cathedral first and then Borgo Parasio. Already from Parasio the view is very beautiful, but it becomes beautiful once you reach the Logge di Santa Chiara with a view that on nice days extends all the way to Menton. We recommend going down to the sea to follow the so-called Passeggiata degli Innamorati, a beautiful pedestrian path that runs along coves colored by agave, yucca and palm trees. The walk goes from the tourist port of Porto Maurizio to Borgo Prino, a romantic seaside town just outside Imperia. There are numerous restaurants along the Promenade, all very good.

**Promenade and beach of San Bartolomeo al Mare** - Another beautiful pedestrian walk that runs alongside the magnificent beach of San Bartolomeo. Starting from the Bellevue hotel (at the eastern end of the Diano Marina promenade) and arriving at the tourist port of San Bartolomeo, you travel about 2.5 km. To get there there are a couple of alternatives. The first consists of walking on the beach for the first stretch: you enter using the hotel underpass on the Aurelia and proceed for about 500 m along a pebble beach until you come across the actual seafront promenade under the palm trees with benches, beach resorts, restaurants and bars.
An easier alternative for those with strollers or who do not want to go to the beach is to walk along the sidewalk of via Aurelia for about 1 km and take via Ville Nuove; at the end of this small road at the Ponterosso baths, turn left and you immediately arrive on the promenade.
For a lunch stop, among the many restaurants on the seafront, we recommend Bagni Ponterosso, a beautiful beach resort with a bar and restaurant open all year round, in an ideal position for water sports such as windsurfing and wingfoiling.

**Borgo di Cervo** - It is a truly fascinating medieval village with its medieval streets and breathtaking views from the square of the central church of San Giovanni Battista. In the village there are also excellent restaurants such as the Ristorante Serafino, with a splendid view of the sea.
After parking the car in San Bartolomeo in the port area, you can take a nice walk crossing the bridge over the Cervo stream and turning right immediately after until you reach the sea. You then walk along a short stretch on the beach and then the edge of the sea behind the campsites and pass by the romantic little port of Cervo. You arrive on the flat up to the Marina di Cervo from which you can enjoy the spectacle of the village seen from the sea. You then go up on the left, with many steps, in the Borgo and finally to the central church and, if you have time, to the bastione del Mezzodi.
It is also possible to park in one of the parking lots in Cervo and then visit the village more easily. If you park in the small car park that you come across on the Aurelia just after leaving Cervo in the direction of Capo Mimosa, you can take a steep but fun climb among the olive trees up to the bastion of Mezzodi

**Aphorism Walk** - Short walk from the Marina di Cervo to the Porteghetto with beautiful views of the rocks and the sea. Along this short stretch of walk, along the wall we can read aphorisms by famous Italian writers and personalities.
After parking in the town of Cervo Bassa, you need to walk to the Marina and from there follow the sea in an easterly direction. The aphorism wall is here. After about 500 m you reach the Porteghetto lido, a beautiful location among the rocks with a bar, restaurant, umbrella rental and a natural pool to dive into. You can also continue on the sidewalk of the state road with beautiful views of the sea until the end of the pedestrian path. You can return to the town always remaining on the sidewalk of the state road with beautiful views of the village.

**Trekking from Diano to Cervo** - There is a flat route of about 5 km from Diano Marina center to Cervo, which allows you to avoid passing by the busy Aurelia. This is part of stage 25 of the Liguria trail. It is a flat and quiet walk recommended to enjoy the countryside surrounding Diano Marina. Along the way it may be interesting to visit the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Rovere.
